The safari starts and ends in Nairobi Kenya. This 7 days’ safari is an adventurous vacation that takes you to the most scenic parks that are found in Kenya with variety of animal species to be enjoyed while game viewing.
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi city
Upon your arrival, you meet with the company guide who will welcome you and then transfer you to the Hotel for dinner and overnight. In case you arrive early enough, you will have a city tour of Nairobi before retiring at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Radisson Blue Hotel/Fairview Hotel/Hotel Rudi. Meal plan: Half Board
Day 2: Transfer to Samburu National Park
Have breakfast in the morning and then drive North through the lush, green countryside that produces Kenya’s finest coffee and tea. Proceed across the equator and notice the terrain changing gradually to a semi-arid desert setting with in the country’s northern territory. Arrive at Sambura Game lodge in the time for the most welcoming lunch and a swim in the waters of the pool. The first game dive will introduce to you to the animals in the terrain. You might see the somali ostrich, the Gerenuk, gravy Zebra, and the Magnificent Reticulated Giraffe just to name a few. Dinner and overnight at Sambura Game Lodge.
Day 3: Drive to Aberdare National Park
Have breakfast which is followed by a game run as you start your journey to Kenya’s famous tree hotel, The Ark. Arrive at the Aberdare country club and wander about the lovely grounds as well as partake in their famous lunch on buffet. You will transfer to the Ark with an overnight bag for the evening of game viewing from the four viewing areas as well as the ground level hide. Having a face to face viewing the animals from the hide is a great moment that one can never prepare for and will never forget. Game viewing of the animals that enter the floodlit waterhole may include Rhinos, elephants, leopards and the elusive bongo. Overnight at the Ark.
Day 4: The ark/ Lake Nakuru
The safari takes a south westerly direction as you head towards Lake Nakurur National Park. Word renowned for its flamingo population, Nakuru boasts a wide variety of bird sightings as well as its Rhino sanctuary, bush and waterbuck as well as the nocturnal leopard who frequently sleep in the trees near the lake. Arrive at the Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch before settling out on the afternoon game drives. As evening begins to draw close, your evening will be spent at the Lake elementaita lodge. Enjoy a taste of the colonial homes of early English settle’s this red brick building is joined with shady terraces, and a warm interior. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 5: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park
The jewel of Kenya’s game reserves is the Masai Mara Game reserve, the northern tip of the Serengeti National Park. The park is known for the big five including; the elephants, buffaloes, Lions, Rhinos, leopards as well as many bird species in the region. Arrive at the Mara Simba Lodge, built with exclusivity and comfort in mind, this lodge overlooks a dramatic bend in the Talek River and is so dominant in its Masai Theme. Have lunch which is followed by a game drive.
Day 6: Explore Masai Mara National Park
Have a full day in Masai Mara, the morning will offer you an opportunity to participate in an optional balloon safari if you wish, while others head out on a pre- breakfast game drive. The day will be filled with wonderful meals and exciting game viewing experiences including game drives and often available are walking safaris as well.
Day 7: Departure
Have breakfast then it will be followed by a game run as you leave the park and head back to the city. Arrive at the Jacaranda Hotel for check in. This afternoon can be enjoyed resting, taking a swim or doing some last minute shopping. Have an evening transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
