This safari starts and ends in Entebbe international Airport. It includes a gorilla permit worth $ 700 per person in the final costing. You will use scheduled flights to and from Bwindi to be able to track the mountain gorillas. This national Park lies in southwestern Uganda just on the edge of the Rift Valley. Apart from the mountain gorillas, this national park harbors many other animal species including; chimpanzees, birds, elephants as well as antelopes.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon your arrival at the Airport, your guide will be there to welcome you to Uganda, he will brief you and then transfer you to your booked hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight at protea Hotel Entebbe(Luxury)/ Lake Victoria Hotel(Midrange)/ Boma Hotel Entebbe(Budget)- Meal Plan: Half Board.
Day 2: Fly from Entebbe to Kihihi Air strip
Have breakfast at the hotel and then the driver transfers you to Entebbe Airport to catch your scheduled flight to Kihihi Air strip in Bwindi impenetrable national Park. Your guide will pick you and drive you to Bwindi forest, upon your arrival, you check in at the lodge and relax as you wait for your lunch to be served.
After lunch, you can opt for a nature walk into the forest to be able to see many animal species that are found in the forest including; elephants, chimpanzees, antelopes, as well as bird species. Day 3: Gorilla trekking & a community walk
Have breakfast at the lodge, your guide drives you to the park headquarters where you are to receive briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After, the game rangers will escort to start your search for the mountain gorillas, along the way, you are to meet a lot of vegetation cover including; lowland and Montane vegetation zones. There are many other animal species that you are to view including; chimpanzees, antelopes, elephants, as well as birds. With the help of rangers, you will search these endangered species by following different routes, once you find them, you are given one hour to interact with them however with in a distance of eight meters from them. You are free to take photos of them but with no flash in the camera. After, the rangers escort you back to the lodge to have your lunch.
After lunch, proceed for a community walk to explore the nearby communities and get to interact with them. You get a chance of buying some souvenirs from the local shops managed by the local people from the community. After, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge (luxury)/ Silverback Lodge(mid-range)/Buhoma Community Rest Camp(Budget)- Meal Plan: Full Board.
Day 4: fly back to Entebbe Airport
Have breakfast at the lodge and proceed with your drive to Kihihi Air strip to catch your scheduled flight back to Entebbe International Airport. Upon your arrival, you will check in to catch your flight back home.
